International Business Consultancy

Dr. Hansen & Dr. Besuden is an international corporate law firm located in Konstanz very near to the border of Switzerland.

The majority of our advisory mandates have an international focus. We act on behalf of our Swiss clients, giving legal advice and conductin legal due diligence throughout Germany. In addition to the chambers in Konstanz, the law office based in T-Wilen is available to both Swiss and German clients, depending on whether the mandate has to be administered in Germany or in Switzerland.

Our office is in close contact with the financial centre of Zurich where we co-operate closely with Fund managers and various Banks.

We have established close working relationships with law firms in America, England as well as with Arab and Asian business partners/ associates.

Investment advisory

We advise international investors concerning the acquisition and/or the development of investments in Germany, Switzerland, Austria as well as in some Eastern European countries. The advisory activity starts with the project development and continues after the realisation of the project, with business advice. We play an active role in guiding our investor clients throughout the whole investment process, commencing with the creation of tax efficient legal structures, financing concepts and public to private domain procedures.

Legal Consulting

We advise Swiss investors in Germany and German investors in Switzerland. Part of this activity field is both the legal advice, like the solution of fiscal questions, and the assistance within the scope of the development of intelligent financial concepts, consulting in the context of the foundation of enterprises and branchs, development of holding-concepts, including the whole transfrontier legal advice for commercial companies.

Property law

Property Law is part of the core competence of our law practice. We have experience with both small and large real estate transactions having closed transactions of several hundred million Euros on behalf of our clients.

We advise on all of the relevant procedures required in the purchase and sale of commercial and residential real estate. In addition, we assist our clients on an ongoing basis, with any management and/or legal related matters throughout the period of ownership by our clients of the real estate acquired.

Our firm cooperates constantly with several real estate companies, including the CCK AG in CH 9100 Herisau and the Prime Strategie Germany GmbH in Limburg.

Due Diligence

An important part of our competence is the legal due diligence process associated with the verification and/or the sourcing of information required in commercial transactions. We conduct due diligence in relation to purchase and sale of companies(asset sales), acquisition of shares and real estate transactions. For our international clientele, English documentation and English speaking lawyers are available.

Public Private partnership

Construction of a public private partnership is often a suitable instrument in balancing deficits in the range of financing as well as of management of the public administration by cooperation with private entities. We have experience in the creation of commercially viable solutions for both parties, such as the efficient implementation of carefully drafted agreements of lease

Banking law

Dr. Hansen & Dr. Besuden acts on behalf of its clients in the Banking and Finance sphere. A special focus is the representation of the interests of our Swiss clientele in Germany. In addition to this, we offer consulting services to Insurance Companies and Fund Managers ,conducting legal forensic tasks throughout Germany. Our experience in this field is furthermore particularly aimed at specific mandates, such as the evaluation of the legal rights and obligations of beneficial owners of Bank accounts, insurance policies and funds under management.

Tax advice

Our consulting activity functions in cooperation with tax accountants in Konstanz and diverse trust companies in Switzerland. We are specialised in the handling of transnational tax questions and in the development of tax strategies for companies. The double tax treaty between Germany and Switzerland, as well as the German international tax law play a special role.
